On Sunday, we visited @lastbookstorela in #downtow On Sunday, we visited @lastbookstorela in #downtown #losangeles on our way to @drafthousela for a screening of the extraordinary #poorthings. It was an #adventurous afternoon. Parking was tricky, as it is with most downtown visits, but my wife navigated it like a champ. We walked through a couple of sketchy streets. A stranger (looked like might have been on drugs) blocked my walk and looked me right in the eye like a boxing opponent, then smiled and let me pass. The #bookstore itself was quite wonderful and so I’ve made it the subject of this reel 😊 I particularly enjoyed the $1 book section (called The Last Wall). The Alamo Drafthouse was pretty cool too, with food (pizzas, burgers, salads) and drinks (beers included) served right to your theatre seat. I had thought this would prove to be intrusive and tarnish the cinema experience, but it did not. All in all - it was a memorable day in #downtownla 🍻
